Lakers strengthen management with Ramas appointed as assistant general manager

On May 28th , the Los Angeles Lakers officially announced the hiring of former New Orleans Pelicans executive Rohan Ramadas as Assistant General Manager of Strategy and Data Systems. This is a significant move by the Lakers to strengthen their management team during the offseason.

Ramas has worked with the Pelicans for the past nine years, serving as Vice President of Strategy and Basketball Operations for the last two seasons, primarily responsible for team data analysis and operational planning. After joining the Lakers, he will be responsible for basketball operations-related analysis and strategic matters.

Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka said that Ramas has extensive professional experience and excellent data analysis skills, and his addition will further improve the team's efficiency in data analysis and salary management.

In addition, Pelinka revealed that the Lakers plan to hire another assistant general manager in the future, mainly responsible for the scouting system and player development.
