2026 BLAST Slam VII: Battle Begins in Copenhagen

The world's premier Dota 2 tournament, BLAST Slam VII, is being held from today until June 7th at a studio in Copenhagen, Denmark.

As the last top-tier offline competition before this year's Saudi Arabia eSports World Cup and The International 16 (TI 16) in Shanghai, twelve elite teams will compete for a total prize pool of $1 million.

Since this tournament is only two days away from the recently concluded DreamLeague Season 29, it is expected that the teams will continue with the previous version of the game and their competitive form.

In the DreamLeague finals, PARIVISION defeated Aurora Gaming 3-2 to claim the championship. These two rising teams, the champion and runner-up, were considered the top favorites to win BLAST Slam VII.

However, the competition in the top tier this season is extremely fierce. Traditional powerhouse Team Spirit, despite recently making a last-minute roster change (with Notme replacing Panto), still secured third place; while current world champions Team Falcons, with their consistently high winning percentage, are also strong contenders for the championship.
