Le Havre officially announce the signing of Egypt international center forward Ahmed Hassan from Rio Ave..


Le Havre announced on its official website on Monday that the club has signed Egypt international center forward Ahmed Hassan from Rio Ave.


According to the Ligue 1 club's official statement, Hassan has signed on a short-term contract with the club which will only run until the end of this season. Depending on his performances, Hassan's contract can be extended if he performs well and successfully helps the club to avoid relegation.


About Ahmed Hassan


Ahmed Hassan, 31 years old, nicknamed Kouka, was born in Cairo, the capital of Egypt on March 5, 1993. He is 1.91 meters tall and plays as a center forward.


Hassan joined the youth academy of local giants Al-Ahly since he was a child. He joined the Rio Ave youth academy in 2011 and completed his Rio Ave first-team debut by coming on as a substitute in September of the following year.


During his three-year spell with Rio Ave, Hassan reached the Taça de Portugal final once and the Taça da Liga final once with the club.


In August 2015, Hassan moved to Braga for €1 million.


During his three-year spell with Braga, Hassan won the Taça de Portugal once with the club.


In August 2018, Hassan was loaned-out to Olympiacos for two years, and his ownership was officially bought out in August 2020 for 2 million.


During his three-year spell with Olympiacos, Hassan won the Greek Super League twice and the Greek Cup once with the club.


In the summer of 2021, Hassan was loaned-out to Konyaspor, and then loaned-out to Alanyaspor a year later.


After leaving the club at the end of his contract in the summer of 2023, Hassan joined Pendikspor as a free agent, and in February of the following year, he returned to Alanyaspor as a free agent.


After leaving the club at the end of his contract in the summer of 2024, Hassan returned to Rio Ave as a free agent.


In the first half of the season, Hassan played 11 times for the Portuguese Primeira Liga club in all competitions and scored 2 goals.
