Lampard has become a managerial target for Bournemouth, with McKenna, Perez, and Rose also on the list.

According to an exclusive report by the British media outlet i, 47-year-old Frank Lampard has become a strong contender for the Bournemouth managerial position.

On April 14 local time, Bournemouth confirmed that manager Andoni Iraola will leave this summer when his contract expires. They have already begun looking for Iraola's successor and have listed Coventry City's current manager Frank Lampard as a key candidate.

Lampard had a brilliant playing career, winning one Champions League title, one Europa League title, three Premier League titles, four FA Cup titles, two League Cup titles, and two Community Shield titles with Chelsea. He also made 106 appearances for the Three Lions, including one European Championship (2004) and three World Cups (2006, 2010, 2014).

After retiring in 2017, Lampard chose to pursue a coaching career. He initially worked as a youth coach at Chelsea, and later managed Derby County, Chelsea, Everton, and other teams.

In November 2024, Lampard succeeded Mark Robbins as Coventry City manager. Under his leadership, Coventry currently leads the Championship table with a record of 25 wins, 10 draws, and 7 losses, accumulating 85 points and enjoying a strong chance of promotion.

The report further points out that Lampard is not the only option Bournemouth is considering. They are also evaluating other potential targets, including Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna, Rayo Vallecano manager Iñigo Perez, and former RB Leipzig manager Marco Rose.

As for Iraola's future, it remains undecided. He was previously linked with his former club Athletic Bilbao, but the latest news indicates that Edin Terčić is the new manager that Bilbao is actively pursuing.

Current indications suggest that Iraola is more likely to remain in England next season. Several Premier League clubs are reportedly interested in signing him, with Manchester United and Crystal Palace both expressing interest.
