Kyle Walker-Peters: This is a tough away game, so getting a point is pretty good.

West Ham United defender Kyle Walker-Peters said the team deserved the point after a 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace in the Premier League. He pointed out that the team achieved their first consecutive clean sheets in the league this season, and successfully defended their goal at Selhurst Park with tenacious defense.

In this London derby, goalkeeper Mas Hermansen faced little threat, managing only one save. This was largely thanks to the solid defense in front of him, including an outstanding performance from Kyle Walker-Peters.

In the second half, West Ham United's number two made a crucial interception, successfully clearing Brennan Johnson's tricky cross out of bounds, winning a corner for the team. Furthermore, Constantinos Mavropanos, Axel Disasi, and Haji Malik Diouf repeatedly won first balls during set pieces, helping the team secure a point away from home.

As Kyle Walker-Peters suggested, West Ham United had a chance to achieve a better result. In the first half, both Tati Castellanos and Constantinos Mavropanos had good scoring opportunities, with Mavropanos' powerful header being successfully saved by Dean Henderson.

Kyle Walker-Peters said: “I think we absolutely deserve this point. We actually had some good scoring opportunities, but it’s a very tough away game, so taking a point is pretty good. We knew they would cross frequently, so we had to stay focused and mark key players consistently. That’s what we’ve been working on in training for the past few months, and now the clean sheet is starting to show in the game.”

“I think keeping a clean sheet shows that we were confident before the game and believed we wouldn’t concede a goal. We were very confident overall, and we hope to continue this form, because only by keeping clean sheets can we keep earning points. Of course, we had chances to take three points, and we will review those missed opportunities. Dean Henderson’s save of Constantinos Mavropanos’ header was probably our closest chance to score. But overall, I believe we can definitely gain confidence from this game.”

The 29-year-old returned to the starting lineup in West Ham United's 4-0 victory over Wolves, marking his first Premier League start since early January. He continued his good form since returning, showcasing his tenacious fighting spirit once again.

Kyle Walker-Peters added: “I’m happy to play, I was excited to be here, and it’s an honor to compete against top players. This kind of competition brings out everyone’s best, and I think we played well overall. We have to keep working hard and look forward to the next game.”
