Italian Cup – Hakan Çalhanoğlu scores twice as Inter Milan defeat Como 3-2 to advance to the final.

The second leg of the 2025/26 Coppa Italia semi-final took place, with Inter Milan, playing at home at the San Siro, coming back from two goals down to defeat Como 3-2 thanks to goals from Hakan Çalhanoğlu and Nikola Susic, thus advancing to the final.

Four minutes into the match, Como created an attacking opportunity. Battulina passed the ball to Nico Paz, who then entered the penalty area and fired a long-range shot. However, the shot was too straight and was easily caught by Inter Milan goalkeeper Josep Martinez. In the 6th minute, Inter Milan midfielder Zielinski dribbled into the penalty area and passed the ball back to Bony, whose shot went wide.

In the 9th minute, Battulina crossed from the left wing into the penalty area, and Oliver Kempf's header hit the post. In the 13th minute, Inter Milan attempted a counter-attack, with Barella receiving a pass from Zielinski and firing a long-range shot, but the ball went over the goal. In the 26th minute, Dimarco received the ball and shot from the penalty area, but the threat was saved by Como goalkeeper Jean Butez.

In the 32nd minute, Van der Brept-Putt broke into the penalty area and passed back to Battulina, whose shot hit the post and bounced into the net, giving Como a 1-0 lead. In the 37th minute, Dimarco took a corner kick, and Thuram headed the ball towards goal, but it was cleared by an opposing player.

In the 45th minute, Maximo Perone passed the ball to Dacuña, who then took a long-range shot from the edge of the penalty area, but it was saved by Inter Milan goalkeeper Josep Martinez.

In the 48th minute of the second half, Inter Milan made a mistake. Nico Paz played a through ball into the penalty area, where Dacuña received the ball, took a few steps, and then fired a low shot into the net, giving Como a 2-0 lead over Inter Milan. In the 56th minute, Inter Milan launched an attack. Zielinski received a pass from Barella and took a long-range shot, but the ball went over the goal.

In the 69th minute, Susic passed the ball back amidst a scramble, and Çalhanoğlu unleashed a long-range shot from the edge of the penalty area, pulling Inter Milan back to 2-1. In the 75th minute, Inter Milan won a free kick, which Çalhanoğlu took, but the ball flew over the wall before being saved by Como goalkeeper Jean Butez.

In the 86th minute, Susic chipped a pass into the penalty area, and Calhanoglu headed the ball into the net, leveling the score at 2-2 for Inter Milan. In the 89th minute, Calhanoglu crossed the ball from the penalty area, and Susic controlled it before firing a shot into the net, putting Inter Milan ahead of Como 3-2.

Inter Milan ultimately secured a 3-2 victory over Como at home, earning a place in the Italian Cup final.
