AS exclusively reported on Monday that Real Madrid is planning to bring former Germany legendary international midfielder Toni Kroos back to the club and join its management.
According to the report, this plan was proposed by president Florentino Perez and has been approved by the board. Real Madrid will begin discussions with Kroos soon and hopes to finalize the deal before the end of the season.
However, despite subsequent rumours claimed that Kroos has agreed this plan in principle, he himself has somehow denied it.
Kroos, appearing on a podcast with his brother Felix, said that while he does not rule out the possibility of returning to Real Madrid in the future, but he is completely unaware of the related rumours.
Kroos denied the rumours, saying, "I have nothing to say about this, and I don't want to say anything more, because I know nothing about these rumours. That's the only answer I can give."
"Real Madrid will always be my home. I don't rule out returning to the club someday to do any administrative or technical work, but not now. Right now, I need a rest, to temporarily escape the tight schedule and frequent travel."
About Toni Kroos
The 36-year-old Kroos was born on January 4, 1990, in Greifswald, Germany. He is 1.83 meters tall and primarily played as a center midfielder, but can also play as an attacking midfielder or defensive midfielder. His younger brother, Felix, is also a former professional footballer and is currently the assistant coach of Union Berlin's U19s team.
Kroos joined the youth academy of his hometown club Greifswald at the age of 7, then the youth academy of Hansa Rostock at 12, and finally Bayern Munich's youth academy in 2006, making his first-team debut by coming on as a substitute the following September.
During his seven-year spell with Die Roten, Toni Kroos won the Bundesliga three times, the DFB-Pokal three times, the DFL-Super Cup once, the UEFA Champions League once, the UEFA Super Cup once, and the FIFA Club World Cup once.
He also played on-loan at Bayer Leverkusen from January 2009 to June 2010.

During his ten-year spell at the Santiago Bernabéu, Kroos made 465 appearances for Real Madrid in all competitions, scoring 28 goals and providing 99 assists. During which he won the FIFA Club World Cup five times, the UEFA Champions League four times, La Liga four times, the Supercopa de España four times, the UEFA Super Cup three times, and the Copa del Rey once.
