Carlos Colberlin: We strive to do our best in every detail to ensure we achieve the desired performance.

After Valencia CF's victory over Burgos CF in the Copa del Rey, head coach Carlos Corberan gave an interview to the media.  

At the press conference, Carlos Colberán first spoke about Ruben Ilanzo, saying, "Ruben Ilanzo has been training with the first team since the preseason. I want to especially commend his character and excellent qualities; he gives his all for the club every day. I am truly happy for him to have risen from the youth academy to the first team. He performs brilliantly in every game, contributing to the team, and possesses very positive values. He is a role model for all the young players in Valencia's youth academy."  

Speaking about Cesar Tarrega replacing José Copetet, Carlos Colberán said: "This substitution was pre-arranged. We expected each player to play 45 minutes to ensure they were fit for Sunday's match. I saw the players' full commitment and determination to achieve their goal, and I felt their perseverance. This competition is very important to us, we are eager to advance to the next round, and now we leave the stadium with a positive attitude."  

“I really appreciate Sadiq’s performance. He is a key player who provides consistent support for the team. His first goal since joining the club is a positive sign. Ramazzani and his teammates also made important contributions to the victory.”  

“Happiness is always beneficial; it boosts the team’s confidence. The team played very seriously in the Copa del Rey, and even against opponents from lower leagues, the games were still challenging. You have to adapt to your opponents, the pace of the game, and the environment, and Valencia did that today.”  

"This is by no means a perfunctory match, nor is it an easy or enjoyable event. We are well aware that the competition is tough and full of variables. As we showed yesterday, we must approach every match with utmost seriousness, unite as one, and overcome difficulties together. We focus on everything that happens on the field and take responsibility for the situations we must address in order to continue to improve as a team."  

Carlos Colberán continued, "As I said yesterday, Burgos is a very solid defensive team. I think they are well-rounded in both attack and defense, and play an aggressive style. I believe they will do their best to advance to the La Liga playoffs. They have the right squad and an excellent coaching staff."  

“Match results sometimes lead us to overestimate our performance. Today the team played well. Sometimes we don’t get the results we want, but we also play well in those matches. We must maintain a balance and be clear about the areas we need to improve. In addition to continuing our progress in the Copa del Rey, we also need to turn things around in La Liga.”
