Enrique hopes Paris Saint-Germain will continue to advance through victories.

The 2025/26 Ligue 1 season will enter its 18th round, with defending champions Paris Saint-Germain hosting Lille at the Parc des Princes. At the press conference, Enrique stated that the players are eager to get back on track and continue their steady progress in the league through victories.

In last week's French Super Cup final, Paris Saint-Germain equalized through goals from Dembele and Gonzalo Ramos in regular time, and ultimately defeated Marseille 4-1 on penalties to win the title. However, in the earlier French Cup Round of 32, Paris Saint-Germain was eliminated 0-1 by Paris FC, missing out on another title.

In Ligue 1, Paris Saint-Germain is in second place with 39 points, one point behind Lens, who are in first place. They have won four and lost one of their last five matches.

Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique said, "After the loss, everyone wants to get back on track as soon as possible. We have analyzed the previous games, and we know that against Paris FC, we did everything we were supposed to do to win, but sometimes you just encounter a goalkeeper who can save almost every shot, that's football."
