Mallorca completes contract extension with Spanish center-back Antonio Raíllo..

Mallorca announced on their official website on Wednesday that they have extended the contract of its Spanish center-back Antonio Raíllo.

According to Mallorca's official statement, Raíllo has signed on short-term one-and-a-half-year deal with the club which will only run until the summer of 2027.

After completing his contract extension procedures, Raíllo, who was interviewed by the Mallorca official website again, said: "I feel proud and happy. We've come a long way, a very long road. We've experienced all sorts of highs and lows. So, for me, it's always been a happy time."

"I've always held onto the ambition I had when I first arrived. Ultimately, we always set goals, we always set plans. And we are gradually achieving those goals, which is what excites me every day."

About Antonio Raíllo

The 34-year-old Raíllo was born on October 8, 1991, in Córdoba, Spain. He is 1.87 meters tall and plays as a center-back.

Raíllo played for Seneca, a local youth academy club in Córdoba, during his childhood. After graduating in 2010, he joined non-league club Pozoblanco, and began playing for them that summer.

The following summer, Raíllo moved to Córdoba B, and in August 2012, he moved to Real Betis B.

In July of the following year, Raíllo moved to Espanyol and completed his Espanyol first-team debut in August 2015.

In January 2016, Raíllo was loaned-out to Ponferradina, but unfortunately, he couldn't help the club avoid relegation.

That summer, Raíllo moved to Mallorca.

Since joining Mallorca, Raíllo has made 310 appearances for the La Liga club in all competitions so far, scoring 17 goals and providing 9 assists, and helping the club reach the Copa del Rey final once.
