Torino completes contract extension with Italy international defensive midfielder Samuele Ricci..

Torino announced on its official website on Saturday that the club has extended the contract of its Italy international defensive midfielder Samuele Ricci.

According to Torino's official statement, Ricci has signed on a new three-and-a-half-year deal with the club which will run until the summer of 2028.

About Samuele Ricci

Ricci, who is only 23 years old, was born in Pontedera, Italy on August 21, 2001. He is 1.81 meters tall and plays as a defensive midfielder.

Ricci joined Empoli's youth academy at a young age and completed his Empoli first-team debut by coming on as a substitute in September 2019, he was only 18 years old at the time.

During his two-and-a-half-year spell at Empoli, Ricci won Serie B once with the club.

On the l2022 winter transfer window deadline day, Ricci was loaned-out to Torino, and his ownership was later bought out in the summer of the same year.

Since becoming a member of Il Toro, Ricci has played 97 times for the Serie A club in all competitions, scoring 4 goals and providing 6 assists.
