Liverpool officially confirmed that Mohamed Salah will be fit to return from injury before the end of the season and Steven Gerrard will be hosting a tea party in Malaysia..

Liverpool announced on their official website on Thursday that legendary Egypt international right winger Mohamed Salah will be fit to return from injury before the end of the season.

According to Liverpool's official statement, team doctors have assessed Salah's injury and are confident that the legend, who will leave the club at the end of the season, will be fit enough to return and help the Reds secure Champions League qualification for next season.

However, to avoid adding pressure to Salah who is currently recovering from injury, Liverpool will not confirm the expected return date or guarantee his starting position. Based on his past recovery speed, Salah is expected to return within two to three weeks.

This means he is likely to return for the final Premier League match of the season against Brentford on May 24th and bid farewell to the fans at Anfield.

Meanwhile, Liverpool also announced through its Southeast Asian social media platforms that its legendary captain Steven Gerrard will be traveling to Malaysia to host a tea party.

According to the official statement, Gerrard will be in Kuala Lumpur next Friday (May 8th) at the invitation of a Malaysian football promotion company to hold a tea party and meet with Southeast Asian fans, while also promoting an upcoming official Liverpool event in the country.

The tea party will take place at 2:30 PM local time on May 8th at the Park Royal Collection Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. Tickets will officially go on sale at 12:00 PM local time this Saturday.

It's worth mentioning that although the Reds have visited Malaysia twice before for friendly matches in 2011 and 2015, this will actually be Gerrard's first visit to the country.

During the first visit, Gerrard missed the 2011 friendly due to a groin injury, and in the 2015 friendly, he was unable to travel with the team after transferring to the LA Galaxy, which contributed to the lackluster ticket sales for that friendly.

Given his immense global fame, Malaysian fans will undoubtedly be overjoyed to be able to finally meet the former Liverpool captain who helped the team achieve the "Miracle in Istanbul" and the "the 2006 FA Cup Final Miracle".
