Marcelino was satisfied with the players' performance and believed that the team had a significant advantage on the field.

Villarreal head coach Marcelino García Toral gave a post-match interview, commenting on the team's 2-1 victory over Celta Vigo at the Estadio de la Cerámica. He was very satisfied with the level of the players, noting that the victory not only solidified the team's position in the league standings but also brought the club closer to a historic achievement: qualifying for the Champions League for the second consecutive season.  

Marcelino García Toral emphasized the importance of the team's opening stages. He said, "We played a very good game, and scoring the early penalty gave us a huge confidence boost. I felt that we had a clear advantage playing away against a strong team, with a score of 2-1."  

Speaking about the opponent's goal, he admitted it was a penalty that could have been avoided. However, he also stated that he wasn't worried about the result in the final stages of the match. Marcelino García Toral said, "I felt Celta Vigo didn't have the ability to equalize. Through substitutions, we maintained the team's energy, and we were closer to scoring a third goal than being tied 2-2. I didn't see the opponent taking the initiative, nor did I see them create any clear chances, so I didn't think the game would be tied."  

Speaking about the league rankings, the head coach made no secret of his pride in the team's performance. He firmly stated, "In my opinion, Villarreal's performance this season has been outstanding. This victory has almost secured our qualification for the Champions League for the second time. This has been a historic season, and we want to thank all the players."  

Finally, Marcelino García Toral also praised the players' individual performances, specifically commending Arnaud Tenas and Alex Freeman, who made his first start. Speaking about the outstanding goalkeeper, he said, "He made a crucial one-on-one save, his footwork was excellent, and he handled high balls with equal confidence. We all highly value him. He has always trained hard and has a serious attitude; we believe he deserves this opportunity."  

"Furthermore, he is a player who always brings a positive influence in the locker room. Alex Freeman was one of the best players in this match, and he played exceptionally well. He is sensible, hardworking, cautious, and possesses outstanding football talent."
