Boston Celtics wins Style Award again; Derek White is selected.

April 24th - The NBA officially announced that Boston Celtics guard Derrick White has been named the 2025-26 Sportsmanship Award winner. This is White's first time receiving the award in his career.

The NBA Sportsmanship Award was established in the 1995-96 season to recognize players who demonstrate fair play, respect for opponents, and good professionalism during games. The trophy is named after Hall of Famer Joe Dumars , who was not only the first recipient of the award but also won two championships with the Detroit Pistons.

White's selection makes the Celtics the second consecutive team to have won the award. Last season, the honor belonged to teammate Jrue Holiday .

A nine- year veteran, White was a two-time All-Defensive Team selection and won the NBA championship with the Celtics in the 2023-24 season . He also helped the Austin Spurs win a title and represented the U.S. men's national basketball team, winning a gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
