◤Bundesliga◢ Harry Kane's last minute goal saves Bayern Munich with an epic late 3-4 comeback away win against Mainz..

Bayern Munich, despite a major scare in Saturday's matchday 31 of the 2025/26 Bundesliga season match at the MEWA Arena, staged a remarkable comeback to defeat Mainz with late 4-3 win away from home, showcasing their caliber as champions.

In the first half, Kohr scored with a half-volley, followed by close-range goals from Nebel's and Becker's follow-up shots. In the second half, a series of goals  from Bayern's substitutes orchestrated their comeback, with Jackson scoring with a half-volley, Olise netting a stunning long-range strike, and Musiala adding a close-range finish. Kane also scored a from a rebound at the crucial time. Ultimately, Bayern Munich secured a late 3-4 victory over Mainz. After this round of matches, champions Bayern extend their lead to 82 points; Die Nullfünfer, on a three-game winless streak, sits in 10th place with 34 points.

First Half

In the 15th minute, Kaishu Sano delivered an overhead horizontal pass from the right side of the box. Upon receiving the pass, Dominik Kohr volleyed the ball into the top left corner of the net with his right foot left side of the box from the left side of the box. Mainz broke the deadlock first to take an early 1-0 lead!

5 minutes later, Kohr made a straight pass from near the midfield center circle. Sheraldo Becker quickly followed up, got the ball and dribbled into the left side of the box before volleying with his right foot. His shot was initially saved and cleared oft not far away by Jonas Urbig. Nadiem Amiri quickly followed up and upon picking up the loose ball, strucked the ball with a right-footed follow-up shot from the center of the box, but his shot was saved by Urbig again.

In the 29th minute, Sano made a straight pass down the left flank. Amiri quickly followed up, got the ball and dribbled into the left side of the box before volleying with his right foot. His shot was initially saved and cleared off not far away by Urbig. Paul Nebel quickly followed up and upon picking up the loose ball, tapped the ball into the high center of the net with a left-footed follow-up shot from a very close distance in the box, extending Mainz's lead to 2-0!

In the 40th minute, Aleksandar Pavlović crossed into the box from the right wing. Alphonso Davies quickly followed up, stopped the ball and adjusted his angle, before volleying with his left foot from the left side of the box, but his shot strucked the left side netting.

In the second minute of first-half stoppage time, Sano made a straight pass from his own back half. Amiri quickly followed up, got the ball and dribbled into the left side of the box before volleying with his right foot. His shot was initially saved and cleared off not far away by Urbig. Sheraldo Becker quickly followed up and upon picking up the loose ball, slotted the ball into the bottom right corner of the net from a very close distance in the box. Mainz extended their lead to 3-0!

When halftime approached, Mainz is already pulling off a stunning upset, leading Bayern Munich by 3-0 as they enter the break.

Second Half

Both teams switched sides as the match continued. In the 49th minute, Davies played a through ball from his own back half. After beating the offside trap, Nicolas Jackson quickly followed up, got the ball and dribbled into the left side of the box before volleying with his left foot, but his shot was saved by Daniel Batz.

4 minutes later, Konrad Laimer crossed pass into the box from the byline at the right wing. Upon receiving the pass, Jackson volleyed the ball into the top left corner of the net from the center of the box,  making it 3-1. Bayern Munich had pulled one back and begun their comeback!

In the 61st minute, Leon Goretzka played a through ball from the left wing. After beating the offside trap, Jackson quickly followed up, got the ball and dribbled into the left side of the box before volleying with his left foot, but his shot was saved by Batz.

7 minutes later, Harry Kane passes horizontally from near the midfield center circle. Jamal Musiala quickly followed up, got the ball and took a few steps before taking a right-footed long shot from the edge of the penalty area, but his shot went wide of the left post.

In the 73rd minute, Laimer passes horizontally from the right wing. Michael Olise got the ball, dribbled and cuts into the right side of the box before unleashed a powerful left-footed shot that flew straight into the top left corner of the net, leaving Batz helpless. Bayern Munich pulled one back, 3-2! This was the France international winger's 19th goal of the season in all competitions!

7 minutes later, Musiala passes horizontally from the byline at the right side of the box. His pass was was deflected by Danny da Costa, but upon picking up the loose ball, Musiala slotted the bal into the bottom right corner of the net with a right-footed follow-up shot from a very close distance in the box, leveling the score at 3-3 for Bayern Munich against Mainz!

In the 83rd minute, Musiala unleashed a right-footed shot at a difficult angle from the byline at the right wing. His shot was initially parried and cleared off not far away by Batz, but after picking up the loose ball, Harry Kane tapped the ball  into the bottom right corner of the net with a right-footed follow-up shot from a very close distance in the box, putting Bayern Munich ahead at 3-4! This is the England captain's 53rd goal for Bayern in all competitions this season!

When the final whistle is blown, Bayern Munich stunningly came from behind to defeat Mainz with a late 3-4 away win.
