Adam Walton: Although we ultimately failed to win, the team's overall performance was still quite good.

Adam Walton believes that Crystal Palace's 1-3 defeat to Liverpool hinged on their finishing efficiency. Against the reigning Premier League champions, Crystal Palace created numerous chances, but the home side punished them with superior shooting accuracy.

The player returned to the squad after missing the game against West Ham United and once again delivered an excellent performance. Adam Walton stated that although the team ultimately failed to score, they could still be satisfied with some aspects of their overall performance.

Adam Walton said: "Obviously we're disappointed with the result because we came here to win, but I think overall the performance was pretty good. We can look back at the game and find some positives. We created some good chances and probably scored more goals on another day."

“They were excellent at seizing opportunities and very efficient. We can summarize some positive aspects, but ultimately we are disappointed with the result. I think we also created a few good chances in the first half and controlled the game fairly well overall.”

"But they had two counter-attacking opportunities, and they are clearly a team with a strong counter-attacking ability. They had two chances and converted them both."

Adam Walton also took the opportunity to praise the South London fans who had traveled a long way, their cheers echoing throughout the match from the Anfield Road stands. The away stand was packed, and the fans were as enthusiastic as ever.

He added: "This is exactly what we need, and we felt it in the home game against Fiorentina. The atmosphere was very intense, and that really played a key role."
