Marco Silva was very satisfied with the team's performance in the first half and considered it a significant victory.

Marco Silva was pleased with Fulham's performance in the first half, as the team ultimately defeated Aston Villa. This was also Fulham's first victory in seven encounters with Aston Villa since Unai Emery took charge, with Ryan Sessegnon's crucial goal just before halftime playing a key role.

After the match, Marco Silva said, "We knew before the game that we had to win if we wanted to stay in the competition for European qualification, it was that simple. Our opponents are a top team, they rarely go through scoring droughts, and they rarely lose at this level. They have always been consistent, which is a key reason why they have performed so well again this season."

"Whether it's individual skill or tactical execution, they consistently put a lot of pressure on their opponents, while we performed exceptionally well in the first half. I'm very satisfied with the team's performance in the first half; we played with both composure and courage."

“We played very decisively in the first half, pressing high for most of the time. We took a lot of risks, and sometimes there were two-on-two situations in our own half, with Joa and Calvin directly marking Morgan Rodgers and Ollie Watkins. We knew it wouldn’t be easy to contain them, but in the end we got it done.”

"We also had some good moments during possession, and our goal was a good example. We dominated possession more in the first half, but things were different in the second half. Our pressing wasn't aggressive enough, and we had fewer opportunities to control the ball. That's definitely the only area we can improve on. We should have controlled possession more in the second half to put more pressure on the opponent. Although we didn't achieve that, overall, we performed steadily and played well in all aspects."

"Keeping two consecutive clean sheets is crucial for us, and this is a very significant victory. I must congratulate the players and thank them for their excellent performance and hard work, especially the solid performance in defense, and the brilliant plays of Harry Wilson and Timothy Castagne on the right wing."

"Harry Wilson's performance off the ball this afternoon was still amazing, and it's great to see some players rediscover their best form at this crucial moment of the season. The only bad news is that Ryan Sessegnon may be injured, and we need to monitor his situation further. We've been having some bad luck lately, with several key players sidelined one after another. Hopefully, Ryan Sessegnon is alright."
