Ukrainian Counter Strike 2 club Inner Circle announced on Monday via their official X (Twitter) account that they have benched AWP-er Flierax effective immediately.
According to Inner Circle's official statement, Flierax has been immediately removed from the active roster and added to the transfer list.
Despite the end of their relationship, Inner Circle expressed their gratitude to Flierax for his time, effort, and professionalism, and wished him all the best for the future.
Regarding his benching, Flierax said through his personal official X account: "From today onwards, I am officially leaving the active membership roster of Inner Circle. Thank you to everyone in the organization, thank you to everyone on the team, we've had a wonderful journey together, but it's time to move on."
This benching means that Flierax's time with Inner Circle lasted only five months.
With Flierax's departure, Inner Circle now only has two former TNL members who joined the club last September.
About Flierax
Flierax, who is only still 20 years old, was born on December 12, 2005, in Ukraine. He became a professional Counter Strike esports player in 2021, playing as a sniper. He previously played for SmokesDogs, The Glecs, DASH, and NEXT LEVEL.
Flierax first rose to prominence in 2025 while playing for TNL. At that time, the team solidified its position as a top team outside the world's top 30 with outstanding performances in numerous online and lower-level offline tournaments, leading to his transfer to Inner Circle in September.
As a member of Inner Circle, Flierax and his teammates initially performed well, defeating strong teams like 3DMAX and GamerLegion in the ESL Pro League and maintaining good performance in online tournaments.
However, after nifee was benched for personal reasons, the team began to decline at the end of the year.
Cairne left Inner Circle to join Ninjas in Pyjamas (NIP) during the off-season before the 2026 season.
This change led to a further decline in Inner Circle's performance. They struggled in qualifiers and online tournaments, and their VRS ranking plummeted from a peak of 26th to 75th.
Inner Circle suffered three direct eliminations in their last four matches, resulting in Flierax's removal.
Inner Circle's current roster includes:
In-Game Leader: onic
Rifler: Dawy
Rifler: cptkurtka023
Rifler: zeRRoFIX
AWP-er: Flierax (benched)
