Bayer Leverkusen announced on their official website on Monday that young Germany U18s international attacking midfielder Jeremiah Mensah have signed his first professional contract with the club.
According to Leverkusen's official statement, Mensah has signed on a long-term five-year deal with the club which runs until the summer of 2031.
After completing his signing procedures, Mensah, who was interviewed by the Bayer Leverkusen official website for the first time, said: "I am incredibly proud to have signed my first long-term professional contract with this super club. I will always stay alert, humbly learn from the top players in the team, and continue to improve."
About Jeremiah Mensah
The 18-year-old Mensah was born on February 21, 2008, in Germany. He is 1.77 meters tall and primarily plays as an attacking midfielder, but can also play as a midfielder or center forward. He is of Ghanaian and French descent.
Mensah joined Bayer Leverkusen's youth academy at the age of six. In June 2025, he won the UEFA European Under-17 Championship with the German U17s national team, and two months later completed his Bayer Leverkusen first-team debut by coming on as a substitute in a DFB-Pokal match.
On October of the same year, Mensah made his UEFA Champions League debut by coming on as a substitute in the League Phase match against Paris Saint-Germain.
Since his debut, Mensah has made 41 appearances for the Bundesliga powerhouse's U19 team in all competitions, scoring 11 goals and providing 1 assist.
