Marco Rose will take over as manager of Bournemouth at Vitality Stadium this summer.

Bournemouth Football Club officially announced today that it has reached an agreement with renowned German manager Marco Rose to appoint him as the team's new head coach.

The two sides signed a three-year contract, and Rose will officially take over the team's coaching position after current head coach Andoni Iraola leaves at the end of the 2025-26 season.

The 49-year-old Rose's arrival marks his first stint as a manager in English football. Since beginning his managerial career in 2012, Rose has had an impressive resume, having managed European powerhouses such as Red Bull Salzburg, Borussia Mönchengladbach, Borussia Dortmund, and RB Leipzig.

Rose led Salzburg to two Austrian Bundesliga titles and one Austrian Cup title, and during his tenure at RB Leipzig, he won the German Cup and the German Super Cup. This impressive resume made him stand out in this coaching selection process.

The club officially emphasized that although they have been planning for the managerial position next season, the team's top priority is still to finish the remaining games of this season with the strongest performance.

Currently, the entire Bournemouth team is giving their all, maintaining an impressive 13-game unbeaten run. After defeating Newcastle United away last Saturday, Bournemouth currently sits eighth in the Premier League standings, only behind sixth-placed Chelsea on goal difference.

When Rose officially steps into Vitória this summer, he will be taking over a young team that is not only preparing for its fifth consecutive Premier League season, but also a team that is about to embark on its first-ever European competition.
