Chinese esports club Top Esports (TES) has officially announced that its jungler, Yang Zijian (ID: naiyou), is under full investigation by the league for allegedly participating in match-fixing and serious violations of professional ethics.
If convicted, naiyou will face a lifetime ban from professional esports. The incident was sparked by the LPL Winter Playoffs loser's bracket match on March 2, 2026.
In the match where TES unfortunately lost 2-3 to Weibo Gaming (WBG), naiyou's multiple suspicious and abnormal actions aroused the management's suspicion. TES immediately launched an internal review after the match and found that he had engaged in serious misconduct that affected the fairness of the competition.
The club has handed over all evidence to the LPL Disciplinary Committee, and the league has officially intervened. In its official statement, TES clearly stated that the club adheres to the bottom line of fair competition, has zero tolerance for violations, and will take the strictest sanctions against them based on the league's final investigation results.
What further escalated the situation was the shocking revelation made by TES head coach Poppy during a recent livestream. Poppy stated with distress that naiyou has admitted to participating in match-fixing in every game TES lost during this playoff run.
This confession shocked fans and the team. Poppy said in a live stream, "This makes me very sad. If he hadn't fixed the match, we could have gone much further. It's unimaginable."
Currently, the case has been handed over to the LPL Disciplinary Committee for adjudication, and the entire esports community is closely awaiting the official final punishment announcement.
