After being relegated to the bench, deLonge confirmed that he had parted ways with Gentle Mates.

Eloy Suarez (ID: deLonge) confirmed on Tuesday that he has been relegated to the bench by the Spanish CS2 team Gentle Mates.

The 31-year-old deLonge has been coaching the current Gentle Mates roster since January 2024, and led the team as KOI in the opening stage of the PGL Copenhagen Major in March of the same year. The roster then continued to compete under the name Iberian Soul before being officially acquired by Gentle Mates in August 2025.

In a post on the X platform, deLonge emotionally expressed: "Thank you for the experience of fighting through the lows over the past year. This time with Iberian Soul/M8 has given me many wonderful memories and excellent teammates."

"Thank you to every M8 fan for your support. You provided extra motivation when we needed it most. Unfortunately, the recent results have not been ideal."

"I wish this project all the best in the future."
