Callum Wilson was delighted to score for the team and believed the team demonstrated team spirit and fighting will.

Callum Wilson secured three valuable points for West Ham United with a stoppage-time goal in their match against Everton at the London Stadium, and he was all smiles afterward. The England international had previously scored in a similar dramatic moment in January away against Tottenham Hotspur. He displayed remarkable composure in crucial moments, first calmly controlling Jarrod Bowen's header before slotting the ball into the net through a crowd of defenders.

Tomas Soucek's header gave his team the lead, but Kiernan Dieusbury-Hall equalized. Meanwhile, relegation rivals Tottenham Hotspur defeated Wolves at Molineux Stadium, with Callum Wilson's goal potentially playing a crucial role in their survival battle.

After the match, Callum Wilson said, "The most important thing is to get the three points, but I'm also happy to score, especially in this way. In my career, I've gotten used to taking chances in the six-yard box. I think it mainly comes from my experience in that area. It was actually easy to shoot the ball wide, and that shot wasn't perfect. But you have to stay focused and keep the ball low because the goalkeeper can block it with his hands, and there are defenders on the goal line."

"At that moment, all I was thinking about was getting the ball into the goal, and it felt amazing to see it go in. There was a sense of relief mixed with a little regret, but it's always great to win a game this way. Of course, it would be even better if the game didn't have to be so dramatic, especially if we didn't concede a goal in the final moments. But today it ended perfectly, and it was really great to share this moment with the fans."

Everton displayed remarkable resilience for much of the match, particularly in the first half, with neither side creating many threatening scoring opportunities. Ultimately, West Ham United secured the victory through fighting spirit, unwavering determination, and team cohesion. Callum Wilson believes these qualities have helped his team earn seven points in their last three Premier League games.

He continued, “Everton is a very disciplined team and can play at a very high level at times. They broke through our defense at one point and controlled the tempo of the game for a considerable period until the second half. They are a very tough opponent, so I was instructed to come on as a substitute when the starters started to tire. Thankfully, I scored the winning goal in the final moments.”

"Overall, we demonstrated team cohesion and fighting spirit, bounced back after being tied at the last moment, and completed the comeback, doing what we were supposed to do. We know that we need to give our all in every game, and that's exactly what we did. The team has players with different personalities, but we always stick together. This cohesion brings confidence, and now we have laid a foundation to move forward, which is also the direction we will strive for next."

West Ham United currently lead Tottenham by two points and trail Nottingham Forest by three points. With four league games remaining, they will travel to Brentford for an away game next weekend. Callum Wilson has expressed his desire to regain playing time, increase his Premier League goal tally this season (he has already scored six goals), and help the team achieve their desired results.

Callum Wilson added: "Tottenham Hotspur, like us, take results very seriously, and we will continue that attitude next week, working hard to consolidate our current achievements. All I can do is keep contributing and helping the team. As I said, we are a team, working together to achieve our goals in every game."
