In an effort to win the Premier League title, Arteta called on Arsenal to show more fighting spirit and determination.

The 35th round of the 2025/26 Premier League season will feature a key match as Arsenal hosts Fulham at the Emirates Stadium. Mikel Arteta stated that the title race has entered a more crucial phase, and therefore urged the team to show even stronger fighting spirit and determination.

Arsenal defeated Newcastle 1-0 in the last round of the Premier League after Kai Havertz assisted Eze to score. With 3 wins and 2 losses in their last 5 matches, Arsenal have returned to first place in the standings with 73 points, 3 points ahead of second-placed Manchester City. However, Guardiola's team has the advantage of having played one game less, making the title race very close.

In addition, Arsenal were held to a 1-1 draw by Atletico Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final, meaning the title race will not end until the second leg.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said, "We are hungry for victory, that's everything. We need to compete and prepare, and achieve the goals we set at the start of the season. Regarding Eze's composure during crucial moments of the match, Arteta said, "I think it's related to his personality; he has a unique way of expressing himself. He conveys a sense of security, calmness, and composure in any situation on the field, which I think is a special quality."

“We need players like that, players who have a different presence and body language on the field, and Eze brings something unique and very powerful to the team.”
