West Ham United are preparing for their away match against London rivals Brentford in the 35th round of the 2025-26 Premier League season.
West Ham United, led by Nuno Espirito Santo, have been in excellent form recently, going unbeaten in their last three matches with two wins and one draw. They not only thrashed Wolves 4-0 at home and beat Everton 2-1, but also held Crystal Palace to a 0-0 draw away from home with a solid defense.
With only four rounds remaining this season, West Ham United currently lead Tottenham Hotspur, who are in the relegation zone, by two points. Facing a fierce relegation battle, the team has set aside its anxiety about its league position and is focusing all its attention on how to play well in each of the remaining matches.
At the pre-match press conference, head coach Nuno highlighted the team's recent outstanding performance and looked ahead to the tough test this weekend.
Nuno admitted that the recent victory was of great significance to the team: "Beating Everton is a huge boost for us, and the whole team is very happy. Although everyone knows that Saturday will be a completely new game, this victory has really boosted our confidence."
"The lads are training as hard as they can because our task this week is to understand that the glory of the last game is in the past. Our primary task is always to maintain and further improve our current level of competition and strive to accomplish the tasks before us."
Regarding preparations for the match against Brentford, Nuno emphasized the difficulty of the game: "The Premier League is the best league in the world, and all the matches are full of high-intensity competition. Saturday's game will definitely be a tough one. We have already played against Brentford twice this season, so we know each other very well."
"They are a team with extremely high intensity and very physical play. Although we can learn from our previous encounters, this is a completely new game, and new situations can arise at any time. We must be fully prepared for this battle."
