Liverpool have officially announced a four-year contract extension with Hrafinberg, extending his stay until June 2032.

Liverpool released a statement on Saturday confirming the contract extension with Dutch midfielder Ryan Hravenberg. The new contract extends the original 2028 expiry date by four years, until June 30, 2032.

The 23-year-old Hrafenberg came through the Ajax youth academy and won three Eredivisie titles and two Dutch Cups early in his professional career. He then spent about a year at Bayern Munich, during which time he won the Bundesliga title and the German Super Cup.

Since joining Liverpool in September 2023, Hrafinberg has made 123 appearances in all competitions, including 16 Champions League matches, 5 Europa League matches, and 90 Premier League matches. He has contributed 8 goals and 12 assists for Liverpool to date, and has won the Premier League title and the English League Cup with the team.

After completing the contract extension, Hrafenberg couldn't hide his joy in an interview with state media: "I feel really, really good. I'm incredibly proud to have renewed my contract with such a prestigious club. I'm very happy to stay here for a few more years."

“I felt the trust the club and the head coach placed in me. Making this decision wasn’t difficult for me. My family is also very happy here. We’ve been here for almost three years, so I’m familiar with everything here. I’m happy to stay.”

“My short-term goal is to finish the season as perfectly as possible. As for my long-term goal, it is to win more trophies with Liverpool.”

“I have a very good relationship with the fans. Whenever I perform well on the field, I can always hear them singing my support songs.”

"I am very grateful to the fans. Without them, we could not have achieved what we have today. We also hope to win more championships for them in the future, and we look forward to achieving that goal."
