May 4 - According to the Associated Press, Brandon Ingram will miss the Toronto Raptors' Game 7 of the Eastern Conference first round against the Cleveland Cavaliers due to right heel pain, missing the crucial game.
Head coach Darko Rajakovic said before the match that Ingram's current injury requires continued rest and avoidance of further aggravation of his heel, and the team will assess his subsequent condition based on his recovery.
Ingram has been sidelined since suffering an injury midway through Game 2 of the series, and guard Jamal Shed has started in his place for the second consecutive game.
This season, Ingram averaged 21.5 points per game in the regular season and was selected to the All-Star team for the second time in his first season with the Toronto Raptors. However, due to injuries, he only played 12 games in the playoffs. Ultimately, the Raptors were eliminated in the first round without their star player.
