Marcelino emphasized that the team must stick to its own style of play and demonstrate the highest level of competition in the game.

Villarreal head coach Marcelino García Toral gave a preview of the La Liga match against Real Oviedo in a media interview.  

Marcelino García Toral predicts that the match against a team fighting relegation with the support of their fans will be very intense. He stated, "Real Oviedo are currently in their best form of the season. Despite being in the relegation zone, they don't play like a relegation-threatened team. Their home defense is solid, conceding very few goals, and they have kept clean sheets in many recent home games, so we expect this to be an extremely difficult match."  

To cope with the packed stadium atmosphere, the head coach emphasized that the team must stick to its playing style. He admitted that the team had been unlucky in recent away games and pointed out areas for improvement. He said, "If we want to win, we need to reach the level we showed against Athletic Bilbao."  

Marcelino also emphasized the team's outstanding performance this season, noting that the task remains challenging in the final stages. He stated, "I want to particularly emphasize that everything we have achieved deserves recognition; Villarreal has performed exceptionally well this season. We must thank and congratulate the players, who helped the team secure 61 points. We are in the midst of a historic season and hope to continue this momentum to achieve even better results."  

Finally, the head coach emphasized the team's desire to achieve its season goals as soon as possible, pointing out the significant importance of qualifying for the Champions League for the second consecutive season. Marcelino stated, "Champions League qualification is very close, and we also have a chance to compete for third place. If we can win in Oviedo, we will secure third place. We will not be complacent but will meet the challenge with passion and fighting spirit."
