De Zerbi supports Tottenham: We deserve the victory and must maintain our belief.

In a hard-fought Premier League match that concluded over the weekend, Tottenham Hotspur suffered a 2-2 draw at home against Brighton after a late equalizer in the 95th minute.

After the match, head coach Roberto De Zerbi said in an interview that the team performed exceptionally well and fully deserved the victory. He admitted, "I remain very optimistic."

"Not only after this match, but even before I came here, I firmly believed in the strength of this group of players. We definitely have enough time and ability to achieve our goals."

After a victory slipped through their fingers, De Zerbi gave clear instructions to the locker room. He warned the players not to succumb to sadness or negativity. De Zerbi emphasized, "We must be strong and positive, supporting each other on the pitch and in the locker room, and maintaining a good team atmosphere."

“Next Monday afternoon, everyone must come to the training base with a smile, otherwise they won’t be able to work with me. After showing such a great spirit, we must now have unwavering faith in our goal.”

De Zerbi praised Tottenham's tactical performance in scoring two goals through high-pressing, but also expressed higher expectations. He believes the team's pressing defense could push even further forward and perform even better when in possession.

When discussing the team's tactical arrangements, De Zerbi revealed that he deliberately reduced the amount of instructions he gave to the players in the backfield: "I don't want to give the players too much complicated information. They must play with confidence and freedom."
