The 2026 LEC Spring Split will reignite on March 28th.

The 2026 League of Legends European Championship (LEC) Spring Split will officially kick off on March 28th.

Ten top teams will compete fiercely for two coveted spots in the 2026 Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) and a direct ticket to the Esports World Cup (EWC).

The regular season of this Spring Split will be held from March 28 to May 10, while the playoffs will be held from May 23 to June 7.

To ignite the passion of offline fans, the tournament organizers have arranged two BO3 roadshows: from April 24 to 26, the tournament will first take place in Les Arènes, France (organized by Karmine Corp); from May 8 to 10, the battle will spread to the Arena de Madrid, Spain (organized by Movistar KOI).

This Spring Split has undergone a major overhaul in its format. The number of playoff spots has been strictly reduced from eight in the Winter Split to six. The regular season will be a seven-week best-of-three single round-robin tournament, with the top six teams advancing to the playoffs in a double-elimination format.

In addition, the tournament will fully implement the new First Selection rule, which allows teams to decide the order of play and the red/blue team composition during the draft phase, further deepening the tactical competition on the field.

In addition to competing for an MSI spot, the Spring Split champion will also directly qualify for the 2026 Esports World Cup (EWC). Furthermore, from April 28th to May 17th, all ten LEC teams, along with two top non-training teams emerging from the EMEA Masters, will participate in the second stage of the Esports World Cup qualifiers, vying for the ultimate ticket to Riyadh.
