Rob Edwards urged the team to work harder and show better form in the upcoming games.

Rob Edwards says Wolves must put on an even better performance than they did earlier this week if they hope to continue their campaign in the FA Cup. They previously secured three points in the Premier League by defeating Liverpool in the final moments of their match. Rodrigo Gomez opened the scoring, while André's stoppage-time goal sealed the victory for Wolves.

Despite the Brazilian midfielder's suspension ruling him out of the upcoming FA Cup replay against the Merseyside side, Rob Edwards remains confident his team can replicate their impressive performance and results. He also acknowledges that their opponents will undoubtedly be looking for revenge in Blackburn.

Rob Edwards said: “The last few weeks have been very good for the club. We’ve put in a lot of effort and are happy to pay off with points. I’m well aware that games tend to be very close and unpredictable. Tomorrow we’ll be playing Liverpool again, and while we played well, they dominated for most of the game. We anticipated that and therefore tried to limit their chances.”

"Furthermore, these matches were all very close, with the outcome often decided by the smallest margins. But the young players deserve praise; they gave their all and competed against some of the top teams. Even though it was the same opponent, we still practiced the game again. We reviewed the shortcomings of the last match, the areas that need improvement, and the weaknesses we think the opponent might exploit, so there's always room for improvement. We must perform better than in the last match to achieve results in this game, because we expect our opponents to have improved as well."

"After reviewing the game footage and talking with the players, I think our opponents are a very good team with many excellent players. They may make one or two adjustments, but their overall tactics are not expected to change much, and these tactics could still cause us trouble."

“I think our opponents will try to do better and faster, so we have to be fully prepared. There were many great moments in the first half, but our threat wasn’t obvious enough. We performed quite well off the ball, and we also had some bright moments with the ball. However, there is still room for improvement when we really break through their defense or get into the midfield. The game became more open in the second half, and we showed more threat, and the introduction of substitutes also had a very positive impact.”

“We made some adjustments because we knew what was going to happen next and believed it was the right way to try and win Tuesday night’s game. Both reasons led us to make these changes, and it’s hard to say which game was more important.”

“We are taking tomorrow’s game very seriously; it’s the most important game for us this season right now. But Tuesday night’s game was the most important match of the season at that time. When we faced Liverpool in the Premier League, it was hard for me not to take that game seriously, so I tried to select the right lineup to win and knew that the team had to perform well.”

"We might need a bit of luck, and hopefully the game will go in our favor. Apart from Andre being suspended, all the other players are healthy and available for tomorrow night's game, so we're in a good position."

“We are well aware of the difficulty of this challenge and the strength of Liverpool, so we always maintain respect for our opponents, especially this team. They have an accomplished manager and their players are used to winning the most important trophies. But we must enter the game with belief, and I hope the fans will have the same confidence.”

“We must approach every match with conviction. We have recently proven that we can compete with any opponent, so we must believe in our abilities. At the same time, we are aware of the difficulty of this match, fully respect our opponents' strength, and understand their desire to win.”

“They definitely want to prove themselves, especially after the last loss. They are eager to win back the game, so we have to find a way to meet that challenge. But we believe we can turn things around and are gradually showing that ability, though it will be a long process. I’m happy that the team’s morale is high and the fans are celebrating two consecutive victories. The atmosphere at the whole club is very positive right now, which makes me very happy.”

“I know that a lot of effective work is being done within the club and the team is putting in a tremendous effort. The players are giving their all, and we will get things done, but it will take time.”
