Marco Silva: This was not an ideal performance; the team still has room for improvement in defense.

Marco Silva had no objection to Fulham's final result against Leeds United, but was extremely frustrated that his team conceded a point at Elland Road due to a stoppage-time goal. Despite not playing at their best, Fulham seemed poised to return to London with a valuable draw, but in stoppage time, they failed to clear the ball in time, allowing Lucas Nmecha to score.

After the match, Marco Silva said: "It was not a satisfactory performance, and we ultimately lost the game. We must congratulate Leeds United and move on. As for the course of the game, the first half was evenly matched, with neither side gaining a clear advantage. Both sides had chances, but neither was able to create a truly decisive moment."

"It was a respectful match between both sides. Apart from that crucial duel with Allensen, we didn't create any real scoring opportunities for our opponents. Overall, there's not much to emphasize. Our performance in the second half fell short of expectations, and our opponents eventually scored, even though they could have done so much earlier."

"It was certainly disappointing to concede a goal, but it was also understandable, because our defense could have done better at that point. We lost several one-on-one duels that we shouldn't have lost. We knew before the game that our opponents' style of play would involve a lot of individual duels, plus the pressure from the home crowd, which was exactly what the game demanded of us."

"In the final stages of the game, the opponent regained possession quickly on several occasions, which shows that we need to be more proactive at those moments. We could have done better in our defensive handling inside the penalty area. However, the problems in the second half were not limited to a single moment; the opponent had already created opportunities earlier. Considering their overall performance in the second half, they deserved this victory."

This defeat ended Fulham's impressive unbeaten run. Although Marco Silva knew the team couldn't win big every week, he was still disappointed with Fulham's lack of attacking firepower at Elland Road.

He added, "We and the fans are well aware that we can't be at our best in every game. However, we should create more chances under normal circumstances. I can hardly recall any truly clear scoring opportunities in the second half, which shows that our overall performance was not up to par."

“Even when we had possession, we lacked initiative. Our counter-attacking opportunities and our ability to create threats through penetration and crosses were very limited. This further illustrates that our overall performance in the second half was below par, and that's why we lost the game. We must move forward.”
