Counter Strike 2: AWP-er fr3nd part ways with former team Wildcard after being benched half a year ago..

Polish Counter Strike 2 AWP-er fr3nd announced on Wednesday via his official X (Twitter) account that he has officially left his former team, Wildcard.

In his official tweet, fr3nd said that he has fulfilled his contract with Wildcard and will be entering the free agent market. He hopes to try his hand at In-Game Leader role and welcomes inquiries from any teams interested in collaborating with him.

Furthermore, Dust 2 reports that former American rifler CLASIA might also leave Wildcard after two months with the team.

Wildcard recently suffered a narrow 2-3 defeat to Voca in the PGL Bucharest Major North American closed qualifiers, potentially ending CLASIA's time with the team.

During the qualifiers, CLASIA achieved a respectable 1.01 rating across 13 maps, but suddenly faltered in the crucial final moments, ultimately losing the five-game series with a 0.84 rating.

fr3nd's departure means he will end his six-month stint with Wildcard after being benched.

As one of the founding members of Wildcard Academy, fr3nd was promoted to the main roster on July 5th last year. Prior to that, phzy was benched.

After two months of decent performances in online tournaments, fr3nd was benched again to make room for phzy's return from a short loan spell at 9INE.

fr3nd's time on Wildcard's starting lineup coincided with a period of roster instability for the team.

From July to September, Wildcard made five roster changes before finalizing their year-end lineup.

During this period, fr3nd faced significant challenges, needing to fill in for the team's undisputed best player, but he still delivered commendable performances.

During his two months on the starting lineup, he achieved the highest rating on the team with a 1.16 rating and a 1.27 K/D ratio (31 maps).

Despite this, the team consistently failed to achieve stable results in North American online tournaments, ultimately leading to the removal of fr3nd and the reinstatement of phzy.

Since then, fr3nd has been on the bench, seeking new opportunities.
