Official: Wolfsburg extends contract until 2027 with 38-year-old goalkeeper Pablo Pervan.

Wolfsburg officially announced on Wednesday that they have extended the contract of 38-year-old Austrian goalkeeper Pałe Pervain. The new contract extends the original expiry date of this summer by one year, until June 30, 2027.

Pervan joined Wolfsburg from LASK Linz in July 2018 and has spent eight seasons there. Besides Maximilian Arnold and Jannik Gerhardt, he is currently Wolfsburg's longest-serving and most senior player.

Despite currently trailing Camille Grabara and Marius Müller in the pecking order, Pervai's influence on the dressing room remains irreplaceable. Following the contract extension, Wolfsburg's sporting director, Piermin Schwegler, emphasized in a statement: "Players like Pavai are indispensable to any team and any dressing room. We are delighted that he will continue to be a pillar of the team with his professionalism, loyalty, and dedication."

Pervan said, "I am very happy to continue to stand with Wolfsburg. I am willing to repay the trust and support of the club and all its supporters with daily hard work and dedication. It is not a given that I feel such high recognition, and it makes me even more proud."
