Warriors' new addition Kristaps Porzingis has missed five games due to illness, and Steve Kerr admitted that his condition remains unclear.

Golden State Warriors center Kristaps Porzingis is currently battling illness. Since making his Warriors debut on February 19, the 30-year-old Latvian big man has missed five consecutive games due to illness, a total of a week and a half, with no return date set.

In a pre-game interview before Monday's home game against the Los Angeles Clippers, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr bluntly stated that Kristaps Porzingis's condition was somewhat strange. When asked if the situation was clear, Kerr replied helplessly, "It's not very clear."

"The medical team is doing everything they can to help him find the cause of his illness. We hope he can figure out the specifics as soon as possible, overcome the difficulties, and recover to a healthy state where he can continue to compete. I don't even want to make any more medical speculations about his condition."

Prior to this, there had been a glimmer of hope for Porzingis' return. He briefly resumed training last Friday, but was listed as questionable and ultimately missed Saturday's home loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, subsequently missing Monday's game. It is currently unclear whether he will travel with the team for the upcoming three-game road trip.

However, Kerr also reassured the fans. He revealed that he had just spoken with Porzingis: "We had a good talk, and he's in good spirits. Obviously, he's eager to return to the court and desperate to find the real cause of his illness. The whole team will continue to support him."
