Chris Richards stated that although the team is disappointed, they will not lose their fighting spirit.

Following their loss to Manchester United, Chris Richards encouraged Crystal Palace to look ahead. Despite having three fewer days to prepare than the home side, Crystal Palace put on a strong performance in the first half hour at Old Trafford. Maxence Lacroix's early header gave the team a well-deserved 1-0 lead at halftime.  

Manchester United were awarded a penalty after Maxence Lacroix was sent off and subsequently completed a second-half comeback, much to Crystal Palace's disappointment. Despite this, Chris Richards stated that the team will not be discouraged and will continue to move forward.  

After the match, Chris Richards said, "It was a very tough game, and a very up-and-down contest. We were in good form in the first half, and the game went smoothly after we scored. Until the last 10 to 15 minutes, we were hoping to go into halftime with a 1-0 lead."  

"The second half started with some chaos and a red card, which boosted the opponent's morale. But overall, I think we performed well in the final stages of the game, which probably determined the final result of today's match."  

"Overall, our opponents are still a strong team. I think we can learn a lot from this game. Right now, we must keep looking forward. There are still many important games to play this season, so we shouldn't be too discouraged by today's result."  

Chris Richards compared Crystal Palace's performance to Manchester United's, pointing out that the team had reason to be proud of their performance. He said: "We discussed this in the dressing room after the game. Manchester United have played almost 15 fewer games than us this season, and we battled them for over 90 minutes. They had almost a whole week to prepare for this game, six days of preparation time."  

"The good news is that we have another game in a few days, so we can put that game behind us and face the strong Tottenham Hotspur to try and continue to improve our ranking. In any case, we still have many goals to achieve this season, and the team will continue to look forward."
