Sunderland officially announce the siging of vorian winger Jocelin Ta Bi from Israeli club Maccabi Netanya..

Sunderland announced on their official website on Saturday that the club have signed Ivorian winger Jocelin Ta Bi from Israeli club Maccabi Netanya.

According to Sunderland's official statement, Ta Bi has signed on a long-term four-and-a-half-year deal with the club which runs until the summer of 2030, with the club retaining a one-year extension option.

After completing the transfer, Ta Bi, who was interviewed by the Sunderland official website for the first time, said: "Playing in the Premier League has always been my dream, and I'm incredibly excited about the future. I know I still have a lot of work to do, and I will push myself every day to improve."

"There are many special things to do at Sunderland, and I look forward to embarking on this journey with everyone."

About Jocelin Ta Bi

Ta Bi, who is only still 20 years old, was born on February 9, 2005, in Attecoube, Ivory Coast. He is 1.75 meters tall and primarily plays as a right winger, but can also play as an attacking midfielder or second striker.

Ta Bi joined the youth academy of Ivorian club Jeunesse Club de Abidjan at a young age, then moved to the youth academy of Israeli club Beitar Netanya in 2023, before transferring to their city rivals Maccabi Netanya the following year.

However, shortly after joining Maccabi Netanya, Ta Bi was immediately loaned-out to Hapoel Petah Tikva for two years.

During those two years, Ta Bi made 40 appearances for the five-time Israeli Premier League champions in all competitions, scoring 7 goals and providing 5 assists.
