Bundesliga – Olise scores as Bayern Munich defeats RB Leipzig 5-1

The 18th round of the 2025/26 Bundesliga season featured a key match, with Bayern Munich coming back from a goal down to defeat RB Leipzig 5-1 thanks to goals from Gnabry, Kane, Jonathan Tah, Pavlovic, and Olise.

Four minutes into the match, Leipzig launched an attack. Diomande received a lobbed pass from his teammate and shot, but the ball was saved by Bayern Munich goalkeeper Neuer. In the 6th minute, Diomande made a series of breakthroughs and passed back to Antonio Nusa, whose sliding shot went wide.

At the start of the second half, Bayern Munich substituted Kimmich for Goretzka. In the 50th minute, Upamecano intercepted the ball and passed it directly into the penalty area, where Gnabry received the ball and slotted it home, leveling the score at 1-1 for Bayern Munich. In the 59th minute, Diaz received a pass and broke into the penalty area before unleashing a shot, but the ball was saved by Leipzig goalkeeper Gulacsi-Peters.

In the 67th minute, Olise dribbled past his defender on the right wing and chipped the ball into the net. Kane controlled the ball in the penalty area and fired a shot into the net, giving Bayern Munich a 2-1 lead. In the 72nd minute, Leipzig attempted a counter-attack. In the 82nd minute, Olise took a corner kick, and Jonathan Tah rose to head the ball into the net, helping Bayern Munich maintain their 3-1 lead over Leipzig. In the 85th minute, Olise received a long pass from his teammate and crossed the ball in front of the goal, where Pavlovic seized the opportunity and scored with a low shot, making the score 4-1 for Bayern Munich.

In the 87th minute, Bayern Munich substituted the returning Musiala for Gnabry. In the 88th minute, Diaz created an attacking opportunity, Musiala dribbled into the penalty area and crossed the ball, and the unmarked Olise volleyed it into the net, extending Bayern Munich's lead to 5-1.

Bayern Munich ultimately defeated RB Leipzig 5-1 away from home. With their fourth consecutive win, Bayern Munich currently sits atop the league table with 50 points, 11 points ahead of second-placed Borussia Dortmund.
