Luis Enrique believes the team performed well and the players showed the right mentality during the game

In the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final, Paris Saint-Germain successfully defeated Aston Villa with a score of 3-1. After the game, Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique and the third goal scorer in the game, Nuno Mendes, were interviewed.  

"I appreciate the mentality of the team because I thought they started well and played like they always do," said Luis Enrique.  

"I think the players showed character and personality in this match. I'm happy for them because it's a good result. We have to keep the right mentality and try to win the second leg, though."  

"We always say that in such important games you have to control your emotions. This is really important for the team because these football games are unpredictable, sometimes you play well and sometimes you play badly. However, I think the players still showed their fighting spirit and good mentality."  

Nuno Mendes said: "The two-goal lead gives us more confidence. There is still one game to go. We need to rest and prepare for the next game."  

"I saw the keeper was a little close to the goal so I tried something different and it worked, so I'm really happy. I know the fans are behind us and they've been there from the beginning. They give us a lot of motivation so we have to keep working hard."
